Location Change for November Election

Our next election  will be on November 5, 2019.  Polls will be open from 7 am – 8 pm and will be located at our new polling location at the Newberg Fire Department (corner of M40 & M60).   The following are a few tips to consider:

  • Bring a valid form of Photo I.D. (or be prepared to sign an affidavit if you are not in possession of Photo I.D.) Valid forms of Photo I.D. include:
    • Michigan Driver’s License or Personal ID
    • Non-Michigan Driver’s License or Personal ID
    • Federal or state government-issued ID
    • U.S. passport
    • Military ID
    • Student ID – high school or accredited institution of higher education
    • Tribal ID card
  • Campaign materials are not allowed inside the polling location – this includes t-shirts, hats, buttons, pins, etc. Please leave any campaign materials at home.

The meeting will be held at the Township Hall, located at the corner of Born Street and Patterson Hill Road, on

Fourth Monday of each month

 

This notice is posted in compliance with Public Act 267 of 1976, as amended, the Open Meetings Act, MCLA 41.72 a (2)(3) and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

 

Newberg Township will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services at the test to individuals with disabilities, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audiotapes of printed materials being considered, upon reasonable notice to the Township. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the Township Clerk.

Landfill Passes

Each resident of Newberg Township is allowed 2 landfill passes per parcel.  If you would like a landfill pass mailed to you please email clerk@newbergtwp.com. Please include your property address and where you would like your passes mailed.
