Notice of Registration

NOTICE OF REGISTRATION FOR THE ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2019 IN ST. JOSEPH and CASS COUNTY MICHIGAN 

An election will be held in St. Joseph and Cass Counties on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. 

Persons planning to register may do so in person at the City or Township Clerk’s Office, the Secretary of State branch office, County Clerk’s Office, or other designated state agency during regular business hours. Registration by mail may be used by obtaining and completing a Mail Voter Registration Application at www.mi.gov/vote and forwarding to the election official as directed on the application. Lastly, those already registered may update their voter registration at www.expressSOS.com

The last day to register for the election in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is October 21, 2019. Persons residing in the County registering after the deadline will need to register with the local clerk in-person with proof of residency at the following locations:

Please take notice that residents will be voting on THREE RIVERS CITY COMMISSION CANDIDATES and the following proposals: 

  1. JOSEPH COUNTY INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT AREA CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROPOSAL 1 MILL FOR 10 YEARS 

THREE RIVERS COMMUNITY SCHOOLS GENERAL OBLIGATION UNLIMITED TAX BOND PROPOSAL FOR BUILDING AND SITE PURPOSES IN THE AMOUNT OF NOT TO EXCEED $61,345,000 PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT THE BONDS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT, IF APPROVED BY A MAJORITY VOTE OF THE ELECTORS AT THIS ELECTION, WILL BE GENERAL OBLIGATION UNLIMITED TAX BONDS PAYABLE FROM GENERAL AD VALOREM TAXES. Election Notice

ELECTION NOTICE

ST. JOSEPH, BRANCH, CASS, AND KALAMAZOO COUNTIES TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2019 

Notice is hereby given that a Special Election will be held in St. Joseph County, Branch County, Cass County, and Kalamazoo County on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 to vote on a Colon Community Schools proposal. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the following polling locations: 

Cass County Mason Township – Township Hall at 17049 US 12 Newberg Township – Township Fire Department at 11900 McKinley Street Porter Township – Township Hall at 69373 Baldwin Prairie Road 

Please take notice that the residents will be voting on CITY OF THREE RIVERS COMMISSION OFFICES and the following proposals as listed below: 

  1. JOSEPH COUNTY INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT AREA CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROPOSAL 1 MILL FOR 10 YEARS

Location Change for November Election

Our next election  will be on November 5, 2019.  Polls will be open from 7 am – 8 pm and will be located at our new polling location at the Newberg Fire Department (corner of M40 & M60).   The following are a few tips to consider:

  • Bring a valid form of Photo I.D. (or be prepared to sign an affidavit if you are not in possession of Photo I.D.) Valid forms of Photo I.D. include:
    • Michigan Driver’s License or Personal ID
    • Non-Michigan Driver’s License or Personal ID
    • Federal or state government-issued ID
    • U.S. passport
    • Military ID
    • Student ID – high school or accredited institution of higher education
    • Tribal ID card
  • Campaign materials are not allowed inside the polling location – this includes t-shirts, hats, buttons, pins, etc. Please leave any campaign materials at home.
