Township Clerk

The Township Clerk is responsible for all of the Township’s record keeping. You will find copies of the meeting minutes here on our website. If you would like to receive email alerts regarding upcoming special meetings or forwarded notices like those from the Road Commission or Emergency Services than please send me your e-mail address on the Contact us page.

Besides the fundamental record-keeping, being Clerk for Newberg Township has been interesting for me and I’ve gotten to know many people in the community that I wouldn’t have otherwise had the chance to meet. I do enjoy that aspect of my job very much. One of my main duties as clerk is to run the elections. I would like to use this opportunity to recognize and thank all of the election workers who have served our Township well over the years: Korine Bachleda, Shirley Brown, Jackie Connelly, Sybella Davidhizer, Eleanor Flowers, Lorraine Griner, Wava Hartman, Karen Hobkirk, Miriam Johnson, Amanda O’Connor, Linda McCartney, LaRae Mullenix, Jean Olson, Karen Owen, Nancy Funke, Jean Rockwell, Bonnie Salmen, Jerry Salmen, Alice Seager, and Marilyn Swilley. (apologies to anyone I may have missed.)

Please register to vote and come visit us in person on election day or if you qualify you can request to be on the permanent absentee voter list and receive your ballot in the mail each election.

I look forward to meeting you and please say hello to us if you attend our annual Memorial Day Program at Poes Cemetery or any Township meeting.

Korine Bachleda, Clerk

Linda Bowlin, Deputy Clerk
